The cooling tower is actually a heat dissipation device, so that the water that needs to be cooled in the tower is mainly cooled by the evaporative cooling effect of water. In order to make full use of water resources and reduce the load of the city's water supply pipe network, and also to reduce operating costs, the cooling water used in the condenser of the air conditioning refrigeration system is treated with cooling towers and recycled1. 

 

Cooling towers use natural or mechanical ventilation methods to cool down the sprayed hot water. Cooling towers are widely used in gas station purification systems. After the water is sprayed in the standpipe and the washing tower, the temperature increases and the impurity content increases. Most of the debris is settled through the sedimentation tank. The relatively clean hot water is hit by the water pump to the top of the cooling tower, and the nozzle is evenly sprayed onto the filler layer to contact the air flowing from the bottom to the top. Spray uniformly, or form a uniform water film on the surface of the filler, increase the contact surface between water and air, and prolong the contact time, which creates good conditions for mass and heat transfer in the cooling tower.

 

There are two ways of air flow. One is to evenly distribute the air by the air inlet shutters of the cooling tower, and the natural suction force generated by the wind tube sucks the air from the bottom up; the other method is to install a fan to make the air flow. This is the natural ventilation and mechanical ventilation cooling tower.

 

After the mass and heat transfer of air, the temperature increases and the water content increases, and it is discharged into the atmosphere when the top of the tower is close to saturation. As a result, part of the water is evaporated, the latent heat of vaporization is absorbed, and the temperature is lowered. At the same time, the air is in contact with the water to cool the water, both of which lower the temperature of the circulating water.
